At the moment the Nissan Leaf isn’t doing so well as last year it was given the title of being the worst for resale value. Another thing threatening the well-being of the vehicle is the Tesla Model 3 and Bolt EV, both of which outdo the Leaf with a driving range of 200 miles.
This is bad news for Nissan of course as the Leaf used to be classed as the pioneer in EVs and it did win many awards when it first arrived on the market. Nissan should launch the next generation of the Nissan Leaf or they may lose out to the competition.
Now we have heard that things aren’t getting any better for the Nissan Leaf due to the fact that Ford are upgrading the Ford Focus EV and it will arrive with a driving range of 110 miles thanks to a larger 33.5kWh battery.
We have heard that at the moment the Ford Focus EV is going through certification from EPA and we should hear about the figures very soon. This does happen to be one of the biggest signs that the company is developing a next generation Leaf.
