By the end of 2016 the tables had been turned on Honda as one of their biggest rivals, Toyota, managed to take over. Not only this, but Toyota managed to take over in many departments during December 2016.

The Honda Pilot, Civic, Accord and the Odyssey were all beaten by the Toyota Highlander, Camry, Sienna and the Corolla.

To put things into perspective the Toyota Camry managed to sell 388, 618 units, while the Honda Accord sold 345, 225 units. The Corolla beat the Civic as the former sold 378, 201 and the latter 366, 927. The Toyota Highlander managed to sell 70,000 units more than the Honda Pilot and the Honda Odyssey sold 7,000 units less than the Toyota Sienna.

So while Honda used to be on top Toyota has finally taken over and we cannot wait to find out what 2017 is going to bring.
