Ever since the Toyota Supra was announced, people have been waiting eagerly to see what Toyota and BMW will have to offer this year. While we will still have to wait until the official announcement to learn more about the vehicle, new reports are now suggesting that the rumor about the vehicle only being offered with a dual-clutch transmission only.

Some fans were hoping that since the Supra will be all about the speed, Toyota would consider offering the vehicle with a manual transmission option as well but Info Seek later reported that when asked, Toyota made it clear that manual will not be part of the Supra right now and that the dual-clutch transmission is the only option.

It was later explained that because of the power the Supra will be offering, the manual gearbox is just not the right fit. Toyota also seems to believe that the dual-clutch transmission will be more than enough for the consumers once they give it a try
