The Toyota Prius sucks for mileage according to the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq, as the Ioniq offers you more for your money when it comes to fuel economy.
The EPA for the three variations of the 2017 Toyota Ioniq has been launched and these are the plug-in, hybrid and the electric version.
You can get 50mpg on the highway from the Toyota Prius, 54mpg when travelling around the city and 52mpg combined. The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq offers 54mpg when driving on the highway, 55mpg city driving and 55mpg combined. This of course means that the Ioniq comes out ahead on the highway and combined by some margin.
The plug-in Blue variation of the Ioniq offers 59mpg on the highway, 57mpg when in the city and 58mpg combined, with 31 miles running on pure electric power. You can get 124 miles total and MPGe of 122 when driving on the highway, 150 when in the city and 136 combined. Of course many vehicles today offer up more than 200 miles. We have head that the Hyundai Ioniq is coming our way in 2018 and this should offer up a range of more than 200 miles.
So if you want more value for your money by way of fuel economy then you will have to go for the Hyundai Ioniq instead of the Toyota Prius.
