Toyota has focused on fuel cell technology and hybrid vehicles but they realise a new electric vehicle is needed and it is going to have to offer a range of 300 miles. Toyota isn’t giving up on eco-cars and bear in mind that the Toyota Mirai has been called the ultimate in eco-cars.
Toyota said they wanted to launch an electric vehicle by 2020 in Japan and so when this happens there might not be any room left in the market for the Toyota Prius.
