If you’re a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 user, did you get a mini heart attack (in a good way) this morning of an update prompt? I sure did.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 update released, not Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

The T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 now has a OTA & KIES Android update available. Now before you think it is Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, like I did, settle down. It still sits the S2 at Android 4.0.4 but brings with it a couple of fixes.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 update bumps your baseband version T989UVLI1 or T989UVLH1 and is only 11MB big so OTA update is no biggie. Improvements include a processor fix, security enhancements and Vlingo S Voice enchancements.

As for the actual T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update, it still remains elusive. Samsung did say that the first S2 to get it will be those in Singapore sometime in February. So it may still be a while before we here in the US get a taste of Jelly Bean.
