The CEO of T-Mobile said that the T-Mobile iPhone 5 would be coming within the next 3 to 4 months, instead of the 6 to 9 months that had been suggested earlier. Now there has been more news about this which has revealed a more accurate time frame for the release.
T-Mobile iPhone 5 release date hinted by blackout window
TMoNews said that there will be a blackout period of 4 weeks for all employees at T-Mobile. This will start during the last two weeks in March and run into the first two of April.
When the Apple iPhone was previously launched with other carriers such as Verizon and AT&T, we always saw such blackout periods announced to their employees. The first few weeks were for training and the latter for the actual release of the iPhone and subsequent sales. This is thanks to the huge demand for the device at time of launch.
This suggests to us that the release date for the T-Mobile iPhone 5 could be during March to April. While there hasn’t been confirmation of this happening, blackout periods in the past have always proved to be accurate so we’re running with it.
