T-Mobile will be selling the Apple iPhone 5 soon and it looks as though this will happen quicker than first thought! This will be a surprise as when there is an announcement over changes in smartphone release dates, it is usually to put it back, not forward.
T-Mobile originally said that they would offer the Apple iPhone 5 in around 6 to 9 months and this is now 3 to 4 months. This means that more than likely you will be able to purchase it from T-Mobile in the summer.
Along with having the handset T-Mobile are about to make another change and this is by doing away with their subsidised plans.
Around 1.9 million iPhone users are with T-Mobile at the moment and the CEO of T-Mobile said that he thinks doing away with subsidies will not affect sales. As the monthly repayments are set to be lower it is thought that another 5% more subscribers will come to the carrier.
If you want to get your hands on the T-Mobile version of the Apple iPhone 5 you will have to pay full price for the handset, but on a positive note you will not have a two year contract. This is good news if you want to keep up with the latest iPhone as Apple usually brings out a new model each year. Along with this is the fact that the Apple iPhone 5 has a high resale value.
Staff working at T-Mobile have received word of a blackout from 18th March to 14th April and this would suggest that the handset will be on sale during this time as has happened with other carriers in the past on the launch of a new Apple iPhone.
