T-Mobile iPhone 5 Release Date Masked With Doubt Of Fool’s Prank

The T-Mobile CEO confirmed that the carrier will have the Apple iPhone 5 early this year, but failed to give a date of when the device will be available in stores.

T-Mobile iPhone 5 release date narrowed down to March & April

During CES, T-Mobile further said that they would have the Apple iPhone 5 in the next 3 to 4 months. This had previously been thought to be happening within 6 to 9 months. Now more information has come out which narrows this down even more.

TMoNews have said that T-Mobile employees have been given a blackout period notice of 4 weeks and that this is set to happen during the last two weeks of March and the first two of April. Blackouts in the past have signified the release of the Apple iPhone with carriers. The blackout is generally put in place as the demand for the Apple iPhone is high when the device is first launched with the carrier. Carriers want to make sure that their staff are trained on using the device and then they are in hand when the store starts selling the handset. The blackout of T-Mobile means that the Apple iPhone 5 could arrive at the carrier inside this 4 week time frame.

Verizon and AT&T both had black outs for their staff when they started their launch of the Apple iPhone, which means that the evidence does point to the same thing happening with T-Mobile.

It could be that during the last two weeks of March, T-Mobile will spend their time training employees to use the iPhone 5; with sales then starting at the beginning of April right around April Fool’s Day. And no, this isn’t a early April Fool’s ruse.
