T-Mobile is to finally offer the Apple iPhone 5 to customers and they have speeded up the process as it will arrive quicker than first anticipated. In the world of tech this is surprising as usually if dates change; it is to put them behind, not forward.
T-Mobile announced they would get the iPhone in 6 to 9 months, now this will be 3 to 4 months. So those waiting for the handset from the pink carrier should be able to get it during the summer!
T-Mobile are also saying goodbye to subsidies on their devices.
Around 1.9 million people have taken their iPhone to T-Mobile already and the CEO of T-Mobile says that when subsidies are dropped it will not affect their sales. This is due to the fact that monthly payments will reduce in price. The CEO hopes that another 5% of subscribers will come to the carrier.
If you get the Apple iPhone 5 with T-Mobile you are not locked in to a contract of two years and this is great as Apple generally release a new iPhone each year. iPhone owners can also be assured that their handset will sell on and they have a high resale value.
Another indication that the device is coming soon was seen from an email telling staff of a blackout. Other carriers have used this in the past when the iPhone is to be released. The blackout at T-Mobile will take place from 18th March to 14th April, so we should see the iPhone on T-Mobile for the first time, around the time.
