It is always exciting around the time of an iPhone release even though this time around it is the existing iPhone 5 making its ways to T-Mobile. Nevertheless this is still cause for excitement for T-Mobile users.
Why T-Mobile iPhone 5 release date looks to be April?
T-Mobile has already confirmed that the T-Mobile iPhone 5 will be available in the next 3 to 4 months as compared to the previous launch window which put it deep into the summer. Now new intel has surfaced which further narrows down the four month window.
TMoNews reported earlier this week that employees of the pink carrier were told of an upcoming 4 week blackout period where T-Mobile prohibited staff from taking holidays. This will run from the last two weeks of March to the first two in April.
Now if you’re an iPhone fan then you will very know what that signals. When it comes to the history of carriers, we’ve only seen US networks like Verizon and AT&T announce such blackouts when a new iPhone is coming. Given that this it T-Mobile’s first iPhone, it is no surprise that they are taking similar precautions. After all, there are over 1 million iPhone users on their network despite T-Mobile not offering it.
So if T-Mobile follows the same pattern as AT&T and Verizon then we can expect the first two weeks to be for employee training on the iPhone 5 and the latter two for the product’s release. As such, an April T-Mobile iPhone 5 release date sounds just about right!
