T-Mobile are continuing with their expansion, which is long running, as they have announced they are moving into 10 new regions. They are using the 1900 MHz spectrum that they secured from AT&T which came when the merger failed. However unlike the AWS spectrum of T-Mobile this is what your HSPA+ unlocked iPhone 5 can use and it will be fast. So here is the list of the expansion cities of T-Mobile.
T-Mobile iPhone 5 HSPA+ coverage map expands
Central and Southern Arizona – Phoenix, including Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria, Paradise Valley, Surprise and Ahwatukee, Mesa, including Chandler and Gilbert, Tucson, including South Tucson, Marana, and Vail .
San Francisco Bay Area- Silicon Valley, including Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Santa Clara, San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco.
Central Valley, California – Stockton and Modesto
South Florida – Miami, including Coral Gables and Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale, including Hollywood.
The addition of these regions means that T-Mobile has already rolled out 4G HSPA+ to more than 15 regions and these include Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas and Washington D.C., all of which have already been announced. Enhancements are coming to the regions of Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, the New York metro area, Philadelphia, San Diego and Seattle.
T-Mobile will continue in their efforts to gain iPhone 5 customers as they say that tests have revealed that the unlocked iPhone can run on the 4G HSPA+ network and on average they enjoy 70% faster download speeds than owners of the device on AT&T.
