The Toyota Prius Doesn’t Have That Long Left

By  |

The Toyota Prius doesn’t have that long left to live as more and more electric cars are coming out with a range of more than 300 miles. Of course Toyota knows this and they have done something about it as they are going to offer up a new electric vehicle.

Toyota has put together an in-house venture by taking staff from four companies of Toyota. The carmaker has been the leader for fuel cell technology but they have now said that they will launch an electric vehicle by 2020.

The development and research team are going to design an electric vehicle that is capable of more than 300 miles. Toyota said that they will launch the vehicle as early as 2020 over in Japan. They are still working on fuel cell vehicles and the ultimate in eco cars is said to be the Mirai.

It is thought that when the electric vehicle does come our way we will be saying goodbye to the aged Toyota Prius.
