back in December Electronic Arts told GamerTell that The Simpsons Tapped Out would be coming to the Android platform at some point in 2013. It seems that this promise has been made good, at least if you live in Australia or the Netherlands as you can download it from Google play.
If you are in any other region then you will get an error sign saying that it is not available in your country. This is something that happens quite frequently with iOS apps in New Zealand 24 hours before North America. Android owners have been waiting for some time to get their hands on the game and now it seems that the wait is over, at least if you live in Australia.
The Android version of the game is behind the iOS version as the Christmas update comes installed by default, when the iOS version now has the Valentines update.
The Simpsons Tapped Out is based on a game around building towns. Homer destroyed Springfield and it is your job to rebuild it as you see fit. Most games that are free progress slowly unless you spend money and if you do cave in then you can expect a wait of hours for a character to complete just the simplest of tasks.
While this could put many off, the game has been successful. EA have said that the game made more than $23 million in revenue in Q3 of 2012.
