The Samsung Galaxy S7 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 are both superb handsets but the results may just surprise you.

On first look it may be hard to recommend the Note 5 over the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, however when you start to look deeper there does happen to be a lot more to the device than the stylus.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was the first handset to offer a curved glass back along with a display of 5.7 inches and this is superb to hold in the hand and it comes with looks that are great. The Samsung Galaxy S7 has everything that is offered in the Note 5 and S6. It offers up the edge display along with a design in glass and metal.

You are going to have to choose between the S Pen or the Edge display, other than this both handsets are about the same in what they offer.

There is the Exynos 7420 processor in the Samsung Galaxy Note and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The processor in the Samsung Galaxy S7 is the Snapdragon 820 and it also offers 4GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has Android 6.0.1 installed and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has Android 5.1.1 Lollipop installed. There are some benefits to the Edge as it comes with runtime app permissions and Doze.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is offered with the Pro Mode 16MP camera with fast autofocus. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has Pro mode and Auto mode which is great. This is a 12MP camera which has improvements for taking photos in low light and good depth of field.

While both of the handsets are great you are going to have to choose between the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
