The co-founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, have just confirmed that the company will have fully autonomous driving cars in just two years. Seems like the future of driverless cars are really nearing before we even know it. Guess it’s high time we should finally accept this tech to slowly seep into our lifestyle, no?
It’s not something new, though, as there’s quite a number of well-respected automakers have been toying with this technology and trying their best to make it into a reality. Various companies like Honda, Nissan and Google, just to name a few, have been seen testing semi-autonomous cars. But they are not exactly ready until in another few years’ time. Now, Tesla would be the one that’s making more headlines, as they are confident that they would produce these fully automated cars in just two years’ time.
However, it’s worth noting that sometimes, technology just fails. Therefore, Tesla would still make sure that should the event of a driver switching to the Autopilot mode and not have their hands on any part of the steering wheel happen, then there will be a notification to alert the driver. It’s still better to be safe than sorry, no?
