Earlier reports suggest that Tesla will be looking to reduce the price of the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X but it looks like that is not going to happen.

It all started with a leaked email suggest that Tesla is preparing for a huge final quarter of the year discount of up to $30,000 for the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X. As exciting as that sounds, Tesla later came out to clear up the rumors.

Tesla announces that the email was not accurate and unauthorized and that they do not have any plans to offer any kinds of showroom discounts. Tesla has always had a no discount, no negotiation policy and they plan to keep it that way for as long as they can.

As for the email, it is said that the email was referring to the test drive models, damaged models, loaners and old models. Those looking to get these models might get a huge discount depending on how worn out the vehicles are.
