Tesla Model S Autopilot: We Might Know Why It Crashed

By  |

There has been a lot of debate about the Tesla Model S crashing during the past few months and many people have said that the Autopilot was to blame. This is the semi-autonomous driving system but Tesla said that people should use it with caution. This means that surely you cannot blame the system when accidents happen?

When using the Autopilot it is the drivers responsibility for their own safety on the road. Tesla said that the hands should remain on the steering wheel even with Autopilot enabled.

Now evidence has come to light that shows that some people are not being responsible for their own safety and not keeping their hands on the wheel. In fact some people are not even keeping their eyes on the road as we have seen a video showing a driver who appears to be sleeping.

Maybe this is why crashes might occur when driving the Tesla Model with Autopilot enabled?
