Tesla Model 3 Tells Volt, Leaf, Prius To Give Up

By  |

The sales of the Volt, Leaf and Prius may be about to plummet if the Tesla Model 3 has anything to do with it. After all who would purchase another electric vehicle as opposed to the Model 3?

Sales of affordable electric vehicles have been in decline since 2014 and one of the best electric car designs by way of the Tesla Model 3 is going to hurt the sales of electric cars for many years to come.

Tesla revealed that the 2017 Tesla Model 3 is going to take less than 6 seconds to reach 60mph and have a range of 125 miles. It is also going to have supercharger access and comes with safety features that are advanced, for around $35,000 before incentives. We are expecting the vehicle to arrive on the roads in 2017, so who is going to buy another electric vehicle between now and then?

The Nissan Leaf and BMW i3 are both slower and the Leaf has the lowest ranking for safety among green vehicles. Would you pay out for another electric vehicle when you know that the king of them is heading our way in 2017 courtesy of the 2017 Tesla Model 3?
