The first major production facility of Tesla, which goes by the name of the Gigafactory has opened its doors but Tesla say that the factory is only 14% complete.

This is the third year of development for the Gigafactory and it is going to be another three to four years before it is finished completely. While the progress on it has been good, people are worried as they are waiting for the Tesla Model 3.

The Tesla Model 3 is said to be an EV that is going to be more affordable and the driving range is said to be around 200 miles. Tesla did make it very clear that they want the vehicle out in 2017 and the Gigafactory is where it is going to be produced.

However, as the factory is only 14% completed, people are wondering if it is going to be enough to meet the demands of the Tesla Model 3 and get it out on time.
