Although Tesla has announced that the Tesla Model 3 will be coming with a base price of $35,000, you can’t actually get one with that price tag right now as the cheapest model that Tesla is offering right now is the long-range battery model which is $45,000.

Fans have been waiting for Tesla to open the sales book for the $35k model but it has just been reported that the entry-level Tesla Model 3 will also be arriving late 2018 which means fans will have to wait a little longer to buy the cheaper model.

This could mean that those waiting for the base model would miss out on the federal tax credit rebate from the government and that would, in turn, affect the sales of the entry-level Tesla Model 3.

The entry-level Tesla Model 3 can only offer about 220miles on a single charge which is much lower than the 310 miles that the long-range battery is able to offer.
