After launching the Android Oreo update for their Samsung Galaxy Note 8 last month, reports of bugs started surfacing resulting in T-Mobile halting the distribution of the update.
Now that they have worked out the reason behind the bugs, T-Mobile is ready to release the update once more. According to the official support page, one of the issues was related to the McAfee Android app with was causing the blank screens but they did not reveal how many issues were found in total. The update will be released at 10 AM PT earlier this week.
To make sure you are getting the correct update, please check that the new firmware is the N950USQU3CRD7 version and not the older N950USQU3CRC2 version. As per usual, the update will be rolled out in stages so don’t worry if you have not received your update yet.
If you don’t want to wait for the OTA update, you can manually scan it once it is available online.
