Excitement is never very far away when there is the release of a new Apple iPhone and this time it is news of the release of the Apple iPhone 5 but on T-Mobile that is causing a stir.
T-Mobile iPhone 5 release date: just 8 weeks away?
T-Mobile has said that the Apple iPhone 5 will be coming out within the next 3 to 4 months, originally it was said that it wouldn’t be here before we were well into the fall. Now more news has surfaced which tells us that this window has been narrowed down to even further.
TMoNews said that T-Mobile employees have been told that there is a black out period of four weeks and this means they cannot take a holiday during this period of time. The blackout is in place from the last two weeks of March to the first two in April.
Anyone who follows the Apple iPhone will know what this signifies. Carrier history has shown us that blackouts happen when a new Apple iPhone is on its way. This is something that has happened with AT&T and Verizon in the past. As the Apple iPhone 5 is the first iPhone on T-Mobile, it makes sense that T-Mobile is predicting sales to be strong. They currently have 1 million subscribers of the Apple iPhone on their books, despite the fact of them not offering the device in the past.
If T-Mobile is following the same pattern of the other carriers then it is likely that the first two weeks of the blackout will be used for training staff on the T-Mobile iPhone 5 and during the second two is when the device will hit the stores. If so, the iPhone 5 may just be 8 weeks off.
