If you have been waiting for the arrival of the Apple iPhone 5 on T-Mobile then the wait could be over much sooner than you would have thought. However if you wanted the handset with contract then you are met with bad news as T-Mobile are putting an end to subsidies.
T-Mobile would not give in to demands from Apple as Sprint and other carriers in the US did.
The Apple iPhone 5 is the best-selling of devices over in the US and at the moment all big carriers have it apart from T-Mobile. Some people have said that T-Mobile will not have the iPhone even when version 6 comes out. However T-Mobile will indeed be offering it without subsidies. Sprint on the other hand decided to give in and they won’t see any profits before 2015.
T-Mobile have been leaning on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and some people have been asking why T-Mobile have not given in to Apple as they have good cover and plans that are reasonable. But do we need the iPhone on T-Mobile? If you have the unlocked version of the handset you can take it to the carrier on one of their pre-paid plans.
Well the Apple iPhone 5 will be making its way to T-Mobile and originally it was thought that it would arrive within 3 to 4 months. Now it seems it will be even sooner. T-Mobile did not give in to Apple and they will offer the handset without subsidies. So you can’t expect to practically get the device for nothing with a two year contract. Rather than pay out $200 you will have to find $650 for the handset if you want it from T-Mobile.
So the good news is that the T-Mobile iPhone 5 is coming faster than previously expected. The bad news is that it will cost you more.
