T-Mobile iPhone 5: $199 Price Tag Now Out Of The Question

By  |

If you want to get your hands on the T-Mobile iPhone 5 don’t count on it costing you $199 with a contract of two years. It appears that T-Mobile will be offering the device off contract and without subsidies.

The Apple iPhone 5 has been popular with all the other carriers and there is no reason to think that this will not be the case at T-Mobile. T-Mobile didn’t want to give in to Apple and the high subsidies like Sprint did, Sprint will not make a profit on the iPhone until 2015.

The Apple iPhone 5 has been a big hit in the US and T-Mobile has had to rely on handsets such as the LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy S3, to bring in money. Some people wondered why T-Mobile would never give in as they have superb plans and coverage that is good.

When T-Mobile gets the Apple iPhone 5 this will change things and it is thought that the handset will be with them in 3 to 4 months. This means that it should be available in the summer, but you can’t get it on contract.

Therefore you can expect to pay around $649 for the T-Mobile iPhone 5. However T-Mobile is making it easier for your pocket as you can put a down payment on the handset and pay it in instalments after this. The monthly plans are said to be cheaper but whether this will encourage consumers only time will tell.
