Subaru has gone the same way as Ford with the F-150 as they have gone into the hall of shame of the Consumer Reports with the Subaru WRX STi. The STi has joined the Ford F-150 in reliability tests and both vehicles were said to be suffering from declining reliability.
Subaru only offers seven different vehicles and one of the most popular is the Subaru WRX STi. This means that if one or two of their vehicles drop in reliability the ramifications for them are huge. Three vehicles have dropped in reliability and this means that they are in for a tough time.
Consumer Reports said that Subaru has now dropped from the More Reliable rating to be listed as Reliable. They were dropped from the top 10 reliable vehicles due to the issues with the Legacy sedan and the Outback, both of which scored average ratings for reliability.
The Subaru WRX STi is no longer recommended as the reliability has declined. This means that the vehicle has now joined the likes of the Ford F-150, Honda Civic and the Chevrolet Volt, among others.
But perhaps you own the Subaru WRX STi and haven’t had any issues with reliability? If so let us know what you think about the Consumer Ratings reliability scores.
