It seems as though the once-popular Subaru WRX is slowly tumbling down behind competition, and you might never would have guessed who’s going to rival against it. The Ford Focus RS may actually topple down the lovable WRX.
We’re all aware that in the heart of the Subaru WRX lies a 2-litre engine with a manual gearbox and also offers up to 268 horsepower. For the Focus RS to beat the WRX, the former has to offer more than what the Subaru already could, and it seems like they could actually do so when it comes to the US roads soon.
That’s because there is going to be a 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine in the Ford Focus RS, and Ford used the same engine in its Mustang. We are actually expecting the engine to be overhauled and that it could offer up to 345 horsepower. Do you think that it’s possible?
Though we don’t know much about Ford Focus RS since these rumours haven’t actually been confirmed, we’ll just have to wait to find out whether or not it could have enough to beat the Subaru WRX.
