Subaru Outback PHEV Might Be Closer Than We Think

By  |

Subaru has always kept their distance when it comes to offering electric powered vehicles but it looks like they can’t stay away forever as new reports reveals that the next Subaru plug-in hybrid could be a year away.

According to Bloomberg, Subaru is not looking to release a new PHEV model but will be working to add the plug-in engine into their existing models. He said that the idea is to offer their customers the option to get the same car but with an EV choice so that they don’t have to give up on the vehicle they love.

He did not reveal the models that will be getting the upgrade but there were rumors suggesting that the Outback or the Forester might be getting the upgrades.

It was also added that we might see a full EV model from Subaru but we might have to wait until 2021 before that can happen.
