Subaru EyeSight’s Touring Assist Ready But….

By  |

We have already heard of the EyeSight tech from Subaru. The tech uses stereoscopic color cameras that are fitted behind the rearview mirror to scan the road. The information is crucial for features like the pre-collision braking, throttle control, and adaptive cruise control.

As good as it is now, Subaru is not ready to settle yet as they revealed their new Touring Assist, an upgrade to the EyeSight tech. The new upgrade will enhance some of the EyeSight features like lane tracing, adaptive cruise control, steering assist and more.

The new tech is currently offered on the Levorg and WRX for now but Subaru is looking to expand it to other models soon although they did not announce which models. Touring Assist is also being offered in Japan first and although it would eventually come to the US, we still do not know when that will be happening.
