Steam is going to do the right thing for owners of the PlayStation 4 it seems as Valve has just revealed that Steam will have native DualShock 4 support.

Along with offering native support for the PlayStation 4 it was also revealed at the Steam Dev Days conference that Valve is also going to offer support for other controllers and the PS4 is just going to be the first of many.

It has been said that when using the PS4 controller with Steam API it is the same as when using the Steam controller. Apparently you make the same calls and get actions not inputs, due to the Steam API taking care of everything.

The PS4 controller is a high quality controller that has a touchpad and gyro, which means that it has a lot in common with the Steam Controller. At the moment it hasn’t been made clear which other controllers are going to be supported by Valve.
