EA had a few major announcement to make this week. Besides announcing that they will be shutting down Visceral Games, they also announce that the highly anticipated Star Wars game will be arriving later than expected and it will also be going a whole other direction when it comes to gameplay.
When the game was first announced, it was revealed that the game was going to be a story-based linear adventure game that was going to be directed by Amy Hennig, the same person who came out with the Uncharted stories.
However, according to the latest report, EA is looking to shift the game and turn it into something bigger. They did not elaborate on what it was but it is clear at this point that the game was not going to make it by 2019.
No new timeframe was announced but given the sudden change of plans, we would be lucky if the game makes it by 2020.
