Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 Excitement Doused

By  |

Anyone with the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a large update to look forward to, with a size of 157MB. The update is OTA and there has been a screen shot posted online which points to the fact that this is a Samsung update and not a firmware one.

On the Sprint support pages it says that the software update is L710VPMA6 and this will update voicemail apps, bring in new features for SMS and resolve the problems related to calendar sync. It has been said that it will also fix a security exploit.

Right now Sprint owners haven’t seen the update that brings them the Premium Suite. For now they will need to have some patience though as this update will not bring it.

One of the largest questions is if the next update is Android 4.2.2 as it is making its way to the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 and this is a hefty one. However we hate to douse the excitement as this isn’t the case. This is just a major maintenance update and nothing more.
