Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus Jelly Bean Update Out Tomorrow?

By  |

All has been quiet on the Sprint front, up until now that is. Today Engadget posted leaked screenshots that tell that owners of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Sprint and those who own the Nexus S 4G, will be getting the update to Jelly Bean Android 4.1 tomorrow.

Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus & Nexus S 4G Jelly Bean update out tomorrow?

Screenshots have been posted of the announcement which says that the devices will be getting updated on the 6th September. So if you are with Sprint and you haven’t yet heard that you are getting the update, it should be coming your way soon. If this happens and the updates do go out it means that you will be the proud owner of one the first bunch of Nexus CDMA devices to get the update and you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of Project Butter along with numerous other features.

As for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus, no word yet on when its Jelly Bean update will come rolling out. Last we heard it is close.

As we’ve mentioned in the past, if you wish to buy a Google experience device, avoid getting one from carriers as updates will be dependent on them. You would be better of buying it unlocked directly from the Google Play Store.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
