What happens when these two giants go head to head? Today we’re going to talk about two flagship smartphones that have been launched in 2015: Samsung Galaxy S6 and Sony Xperia Z5. Take a look at some of the comparisons below.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 measures 143.4×70.5×6.8mm, it weighs only 138 grams and the back panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, while the frame is made of aluminium. Sony Xperia Z5, on the other hand, is thicker and heavier than the Galaxy S6, as it measures 146x72x7.3mm and weights 154 grams. Sony is using the popular Omnibalance design with materials such as frosted glass and metal.
The Galaxy S6 device has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display supporting a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 577 ppi and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The Xperia Z5 features a bigger IPS LCD display of 5.2-inches with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 428 ppi.
The Galaxy S6 sports a primary camera of 16MP with features such as OIS, autofocus, geo-tagging-touch focus, face detections, LED Flash, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Xperia Z5 has a better primary camera of 23MP that also comes with LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5.1MP.
