Mention Fallout 4 and immediately gamers think about all the mods that are out there for them to use in the game. However if Sony had their own way they could have ruined the gamers potential with the game on the PS4. They said that mods couldn’t be used on the console and there was some worry that perhaps gamers would move away to the PC or Xbox One to play.
Bethesda did say that Sony wasn’t allowing gamers to use mods on Fallout 4 on the PS4. Now it is looking as though some sort of compromise has been reached and mods can be used first on Skyrim Special Edition and then on Fallout 4, with a big catch.
Those playing Fallout 4 on the PC or Xbox One can use things that are loaded into the game, but this isn’t going to apply to the PS4. If you want to make things you are going to have to assemble them from what you have already. This means that things cannot be customised, such as Batsuits.
There are some people who have used mods for creating them and these are listed below and you should be able to use them.
The Cheat Terminal allows you to get into computers to activate different cheats, such as changes to the weather and infinite ammunition.
Everyone’s Best Fried allows you to take Dogmeat along with a companion out with you when you go on your adventures.
Unlimited Building allows you to change variables to high numbers.
Unlimited Crafting Container allows you to store everything that you could possibly want close to Vault 111.
Apply Legendary Effects To Guns means you can make your own Legendary gear and make sure that it is useful.
So while Sony did try their best to put an end to the experience of the gamers playing Fallout 4 on the PS4 they didn’t manage to do it altogether.
