If you thought that the Skyrim DLC PS3 deals were exclusive to the PS3 then you are wrong. They are not Bethesda’s way of saying sorry for PS3 fans having to wait for so long for the DLCs, as Xbox 360 owners will have the last laugh as they too will get a discount. Confirmation has been given that Dragonborn, Dawnguard and Hearthfire will come with 50% off for the Xbox too in the marketplace.
PS3 owners have just got Dragonborn and they paid $10 for it during the first week of it being on sale. This has signified the end of a very frustrating period of waiting for the DLC packs, which the Xbox 360 has enjoyed for some time. Following the first week of sales the DLC will then return to the normal price of $20.
Starting from 19th February gamers on the Xbox 360 will be able to get the games for 50% off. However this decision may not be that of Bethesda, it could have been down to the PlayStation Store. Of course you also have to bear in mind that there was a time when fans of the PS3 thought that the DLC might not arrive on their console at all. Now it will be interesting to see what will happen when the Redguard expansion is released and if it will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 or if it will arrive on the PS3 and PC at the same time.
So what do you think? Are you happy now that the DLCs are to be released and with 50% off? Or do you think that fans of the Xbox 360 are rubbing PS3 owners face in it as they have the reduction in price too. Bethesda have not spoken about the discount for owners of the Xbox 360 yet.
