Thanks to the release of Dragonborn for the Xbox 360, dragons are the in-thing and soon PC owners of Skyrim will be in for a dragon treat too.
Skyrim dragon update for PC
An updated pack has been revealed for Skyrim that offers upgraded dragon graphics. The mod comes with colour enhancements, textures and detailed dragons. The changes are seen below and is only for the PC version of the game first:
Colouring is now more natural and they are less de-saturated.
Some of the horns and spines had colours that were poor or they were the wrong colour.
Bad texture/mesh seams have been fixed or reduced.
The grease like look of the dragons has been removed or reduced, this was causing seam issues.
There have been a lot of changes to the texture of Odahviing. He had an eye that was missing and he was pink, seams have also been corrected.
The colour of Alduin has been darkened and is grey scale which enhances his styled theme, which took inspiration from the volcanic rock and glass.
Most of the dragons have new eye textures and Blood Dragons frog eye have now been replaced.
Lots of fixes to the meshes and textures have taken place, including fix files for the HD DLC.
The Ancient Dragon now has HD texture.
The resolution of the translucent file on the wings of dragons has been increased. This means that they now have higher details on the membranes of the wings.
The colour of the mouth and gums has been changed to a more natural looking pink, ugly holes where teeth should have been have now been filled in.
