If you have Skyrim on the PS3 already, and you’re just waiting for Hearthfire and Dawnguard, we’ve got some good news. According to Product-Reviews (PR), the new expansion called Dragonborn which is on the way looks to hint that the DLC problems have finally been solved.
Skyrim DLC 3 heats up with PS3 Dawnguard, Hearthfire?
Dragonborn has shown up as an expansion pack on file trademarks, just like Dawnguard and Hearthfire did. There has also been a few sightings of this pack in an update for PC owners. It’s in a line of code in the 1.8 beta update that reads: ‘$DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT_PS3 DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT’. Now, this may well mean that Bethesda has sorted out the PS3 hardware probs and has put Dawnguard into the system – problems here were the reasons behind the Hearthfire delay, after all.
Of course, files relating to other platforms do occasionally turn up in internal PC codes, but there’s been no such code for Dragonborn on the Xbox 360, however, which is making folks think that Dragonborn might be exclusive for the PS3.
This might be a form of recompense, or apology, for the Dawnguard nightmare PS3 owners have been put through, but this could backfire by annoying Xbox 360 users, as they shouldn’t feel left out. Bethesda is saying nothing, but that code is there for something.
