If you already have Skyrim for the PS3, we have some great news about Dawnguard and Hearthfire. Product-Reviews (PR) thinks that the expansion pack launch for Dragonborn, as well as the tweet that promises new content for PS3 users, means that the DLC issues have been resolved for PS3 users.
Skyrim DLC for PS3 problems could be resolved, Dawnguard, Hearthfire & Dragonborn soon?
Dragonborn has been made official, just like Dawnguard and Hearthfire did. However what is new is that there have also been sightings of it in a PC update – in a line of code in the 1.8 beta update:
‘$DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT_PS3 DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT’.
This may mean that Bethesda has sorted the hardware issues and can now get DLCs into the system. These problems were, after all, the reason for the Hearthfire and Dawnguard fiasco and should have PS3 users feel more confident that new DLC is coming their way after all.
It’s hoped that this roll out of expansion packs is an apology to PS3 users for the delays and frustration – some DLC may even be free, if rumours serve right. Bethesda’s saying nothing about this line of code, but it’s there for a reason.
Do you reckon this code is related to Dawnguard or Hearthfire? Or do you think that Bethesda is waiting for PS3 users to have forgotten about this content and then jump straight to Dragonborn for all platforms?
