If you’ve already got Skyrim for the PS3, we’ve got some good news about Hearthfire and Dawnguard. Product-Reviews (PR) reckons that the imminent Dragonborn expansion pack launch for Xbox 360 as well as the tweet promising some content is coming to PS3 users, suggest that the DLC problems have been sorted.
Skyrim DLC for PS3 problems may be fixed, Dawnguard & Hearthfire soon?
Dragonborn has turned up as an expansion pack on some file trademarks, in the same way Hearthfire and Dawnguard did. There’s also been some sightings of it in an update for PC users. It appears in a line of code in the 1.8 beta update – ‘$DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT_PS3 DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT’. This might mean that Bethesda has righted the PS3 hardware problems and has finally got DLCs working in the system. These problems were the reason for the Hearthfire and Dawnguard fiasco in the first place.
There are hopes that this move in bringing all the expansion packs to PS3 users is an apology for the frustration they’ve been through. There are even hints that some DLC may be free. Bethesda is keeping quite about what this discovered line of code hinting about new PS3 content is, but that code is there for a reason.
So do you think it is Dawnguard or Hearthfire? Or do you think Bethesda hopes PS3 fans have forgotten about it and will want something new like Dragonborn instead?
