PS3 users really want to know if they’re getting Skyrim Dawnguard or not. Bethesda has thankfully promised new content to this console by way of Dragonborn first. But hasn’t said when the Dawnguard and Hearthfire DLC will be released.
Skyrim Dawnguard for PS3
The third lot of Skyrim DLC is so far only on the Xbox 360, and this has angered PS3 owners since they have now been waiting for 3 DLCs and they all seem to be favoring the Xbox 360.
Product-Reviews has said that Pete Hines has been tweeting to try to stamp out the fires. However, what he wants to say and what he’s allowed to say are two different matters. Pete may know more than he’s telling, and this is making PS3 users even more vexed.
Slightly more personal tweets have been coming from Hines, too. The Twitter account he uses is also his private one. As he needs permission to say anything about Skyrim DLC for the PS3, his hands are tied, despite legions of angry PS3 fans swamping his Twitter account with messages.
All the poor guy can do is wait for details, which he can then tweet, when he gets the green light. The latest round of tweets has been asking if he actually has any empathy for PS3 owners – and he can’t say yay or nay!
Bethesda made it clear that Dragonborn was easier to make compatible for the PS3 version of Skyrim, hence why it will be coming first. This also tells us that given how long Bethesda had for tinkering with Hearthfire and Dawnguard, that it must be close to impossible to get it to work for the PS3. So we don’t expect it to be coming anytime soon.
