New Skyrim Dawnguard DLC is good, as those who spend many hours playing it on the Xbox 360 will be quick to tell you. The same applies to Skyrim on the PS3, however is it worth trading in the PS3 just because you can’t get Dawnguard or Dragonborn on your console? The folks over at Product-Reviews report that some gamers seem to think so following months of waiting for the new DLC to come out which they expected would, when they first purchased the game.
Lack of Skyrim Dawnguard DLC for PS3 may cause defectors
Of course you may that you will trade in your PS3 on the spur of the moment in anger. However the blog reports that some people have already traded in their PS3 and gone out and bought the Xbox360 so they can play Dawnguard and Dragonborn.
I for one own a PS3, want Dawnguard and am keeping hold of the console in the event that it eventually comes out. There has been confirmation that some new content is coming out for the PS3, however at the moment no one knows what this new content is (Dragonborn, Hearthfire, Dawnguard?)
Some have said the problem is lack of RAM on the PS3, however that isn’t true, so don’t base your decision on hardware limitations just yet. Other games have worked fine with the RAM. Bear in mind that the history of Bethesda in bringing out new content to the PS3 hasn’t been all that good in the past and they do seem to put the Xbox 360 and PC first.
Pete Hines has said on Twitter that he needs to check if Skyrim DLC is coming out on the PS3, so it looks like he has to get permission before he can tell us anything. So will you be ditching your PS3 for the Xbox 360?
