Which is the best smartphone on the market right now? The first couple of answers that come to mind are the iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC One X, Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX and the Galaxy Nexus. However if you ask the same question to Siri, the voice assistant for the iPhone 4S, it unanimously tells you that it is none other than the Nokia Lumia 900.
Siri tells iPhone 4S users that Nokia Lumia 900 is best smartphone but not anymore
Siri’s response attracted a lot of attention last week, especially from the Apple community given that they were the one’s that could actually test it out after the news broke. While we’ve since seen that story subside, it has started to brew up again this week after a recent statement by Nokia.
Yesterday, news once again broke up about Siri’s response to the “best smartphone” question. If you try and ask Siri that again it will simply tell you “The one you’re holding,” or “You’re kidding, right?”
Nokia has now accused Apple of overriding the software and making Siri blurt out those cutesy responses instead:
“Apple position Siri as the intelligent system that’s there to help, but clearly if they don’t like the answer, they override the software,” Nokia spokeswoman Tracy Postill said in a statement sent to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Do you think Apple really did that or did Siri just ‘change her mind’ based on the latest data aggregated from the Wolfram Alpha search database?
