Google is going to stop supporting the Nexus 5 soon and this has angered fans of the handsets. Of course with the Android 7.0 Nougat OS being out owners were hoping to get it.
In November it is said that the monthly security updates for the Nexus 5 are going to stop. So when this happens it means that the device is all but dead.
While security patches have been offered for the Nexus 5 it has given owners some hope. When the patches stop this is going to signal the end for the device.
Google may not be offering up security patches monthly for the Nexus 5 but this doesn’t mean that all is lost for the handset due to developers offering the CM14 ROM, which can be flashed to the handset.
Without the Nexus 5 getting monthly security updates the device is going to be left vulnerable of course.
