Samsung Galaxy S8: Why So Small, Nexus 6?

By  |

Up to now the biggest display on an Android phone was the 6 inch of the Nexus 6 but it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S8 may be about the change that. It has been said that the device will offer a display of 6.2 inches.

We are expecting to see the Samsung Galaxy S8 on 29 March and rumour has it that the back of the handset will be the same as the S7. The front of the device is going to be changed drastically though. The physical home button will have gone along with the touch sensitive navigation buttons. In their place will be a large display that is curved and which runs edge to edge of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be given a worldwide launch on 21 April and we may see two display sizes, one being 6.2 inches and the other 5.8 inch. The screen has been called the infinity display and it will be bigger than that of the Notes 5.7 inch display. The aspect ratio is said to be 18.5:9 and the handset will offer the USB-C jack and a headphone jack.

We are expecting to see the iris scanner on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the price tag may be set higher than the S7.
