Neither the Samsung Galaxy S8 nor the LG G6 is out at the moment but we thought that we would take a look at some of the rumoured features along with the specs of both handsets.
One of the things that we are unsure of is whether the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to arrive in two versions, the basic and the edge. What has been rumoured is the headphone jack will be back as Samsung did get some stick when they chose to remove it.
Rumours have been going around that we will see two versions of the Samsung Galaxy and this will be the Galaxy S8 with a display of 5.7 inches and the Galaxy S8 Plus which will offer a display of 6.2 inches. We also think that Samsung will shrink the bezel of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and one of the handsets will offer the curved display.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 should come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or the Exynos chip. There should be 4GB or 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage. We have also heard that there may be a game mode in the software setting and this can be used to unlock more power for gaming.
Rumours are going around that the LG G6 may offer a display of 1,400 x 2,880 and it could offer up 564ppi. The ratio could be 18:9 and this would be great for the dual screen feature found on Nougat. LG may use in-TOUCH tech on the panel and this would have the touch sensor inside the LCD display.
It is thought that the LG G4 will be slimmer and the bezel will be smaller, the QHD+ panel is just one millimetre in thickness. The width of the bezel is reduced to 0.2 millimeter at the sides and 0.54 on the bottom.
The LG G6 could come with a new AI assistant and it is thought that it may be powered by Amazon or Google. It is thought that it may be Amazons Alexa, but nothing is concrete at this moment.
The LG G6 could have a display of 5.7 inch and run on the Snapdragon 835 processor and it could have Magnetic Secure Transmission tech for making mobile payments. It should be water proofed and if so the battery will not be removable.
The LG G6 could be revealed at the MWC 2017 and this takes place 27 February, with the release of the handset being 10 March.
So what do you think about the rumoured specs and features of the LG G6 and the Samsung Galaxy S8?
