People are waiting for the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S8, which is only a few days away and as such we have been hearing plenty of rumours and leaks about what the upcoming device might offer. Another handset that is anticipated is the Apple iPhone 8, but which handset will come out on top? Some think that it will be Apple that leads, once again.
KGI Securities said that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to miss out on offering attractive selling points and this could leave it behind the iPhone 8 when Apple launches the device.
He said that the OLED display that will come with the new iPhone is going to be one of the biggest draws for customers. However the Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to be offering the same technology for the display but OLED may not be such a big advantage.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 may not be able to pass the 52 million sales of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and it has been suggested that sales could reach around 40 to 45 million in the fiscal year 2017. This is going to be lower than the suggested sales of the iPhone 8.
The predictions of KGI Securities’ are often correct but whether the iPhone 8 is going to bypass the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S8 remains to be seen.
