Although Samsung did suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be able to support the Daydream VR platform from Google, the features weren’t available when the device was released.

After waiting for months, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus users will finally be getting the update. The new update G950USQU1AQG4 and G955USQU1AQG4 will come with the compatibility update for the Daydream VR platform as well as a few other new features.

One of the new features is the ability to hide the on-screen navigation bar. Of course, we might still have to wait for Google to give the green light before the S8 users can try out the Daydream feature but at least we know that the S8 is ready for it now.

The update will be rolled out in stages so don’t worry if you have not received your update yet.
