Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Rated As ‘Safe’ As Galaxy S6 Edge
With the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 not doing so well when it arrived and now having been recalled, you might wonder about the safety of other Samsung devices. But it seems that there is no reason to worry as the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is just as safe as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
We are not talking about the battery frying issues here; instead we are talking about the Specific Absorption Rate of phones. In the US this has to be as low as possible and the cut-off is 1.6w/kg.
According to the ratings in the US the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have come out the best. The S7 Edge got a score of 0.264W/kg. the Asus Zenfone, Galaxy A5, Moto Z and the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus followed on.
So at least you don’t have to worry about frying your brains with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
