Sure, it’s a known fact for bigger phones to be equipped with equally larger batteries too. But that’s not the case with the Samsung Galaxy S6’s large display, for it actually packs in a smaller capacity battery. And since the S6’s main rivalries include that of the iPhone 6S, LG G4, Sony Xperia Z Series, and even its very own Galaxy Note 5, do you think the Galaxy S6 might prove to be the best in battery lifespan?
In spite of the S6’s smaller battery capacity, the test results came in positive all thanks to the folks from GSM Arena’s test discovery. Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy S6 was put through numerous tests including talk time (up to 20 hours), 3G (below 11 hours), as well as video playback (about 12 hours). Thus, its battery life is on par with the Galaxy S6 Edge, but there’s no denying the fact that the iPhone 6S Plus still wins it over (iPhone 6S’ battery life is a different story, altogether).
The Samsung Galaxy S6 is still ahead of other Androids though, like the Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4. If you use the S6 moderately, it could still get you through the day. Or take our advice; get your power banks prepared by your side at all times.
